Description
SUMMARY:
The Environmental Educator is responsible for the learning needs assessments, formulate, and document training requirements, and develops appropriate training for the department, onboard new team members in department specific knowledge/competencies, provide continuous education for the department and performs periodic inspections. This position is responsible to work with the EVS management team to develop EVS policies and procedures and leads and/or contributes to department quality initiatives and programs serves as a member of the EVS Management team
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of 3 years progressively more responsible experience in the Environmental Services / Hospitality industry
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Must be proficient in the use of MS office including but not limited to office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Communicate effectively both orally and written.
- Must have good communication skills. Bi-lingual skills a plus but not required.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Must have production experience, ability to be able to problem solve, previous experience supervising both people & resources, and be self-motivated. This position will provide leadership and support the management team at Munson Medical Center. Ability to effectively communicate policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees
- Training and demonstrable skills that shall include (but not be limited to): Daily procedures isolated cleaning procedures, checkout cleaning procedures, spray buffing, carpet shampooing, wall washing, and vacuum operations.
- Must be able to work under pressure as difficult situations arise and retain a sense of diplomacy and urgency. Prioritized effectively in the face of infinite demands and finite resources.
- Must pass TB and drug screen.
