SPECIFIC DUTIES
1. Cleans OR suites and equipment.
2. Assists with positioning and prepping patients within the OR and pre-operative holding area.
3. Obtains equipment/supplies for the OR staff and returns them to proper storage places.
4. Delivers surgical specimens/sends specimens through pneumatic tube system.
5. Opens sterile supplies as directed by the OR staff.
6. Delivers/retrieves items from other departments within the hospital as directed by charge nurse or OR staff.
7. Answers telephone and takes messages.
