WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:
The Rehab Department Assistant maintains all front office operations to ensure efficient office flow through scheduling, insurance verifications, authorizations and referrals. You will support managers, physicians, providers and all department visitors with daily tasks and communications.
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING IN YOU:
High school diploma or GED
3 years administrative assistant and/or office experience or comparable formal education.
Must be competent with computer operations. Will be required to rapidly develop proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, e-mail communications.
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, telephone and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively handle sensitive, confidential and high stress situations.
Excellent grammar, spelling, format and proof-reading skills.
Must be competent with computer operations. Will be required to rapidly develop proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, e-mail communications.
Demonstrated ability to effectively transcribe dictations. Must type 65 wpm with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrated considerable initiative, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
