ENTRY REQUIREMENTS   

Graduated from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Current registration held by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy or eligibility for immediate registration. Current Licensure with the State of Michigan.

 

ORGANIZATION

Reports to the inpatient Occupational Therapy Coordinator and the Administrative Director of Rehabilitation Services.

     Cares for patients in the age category(s) checked below:

 

       __Neonatal (birth-1 mo)  __Young adult (18 yr-25 yrs)

 

       __Infant (1 mo-1 yr)  __Adult (26 yrs-54 yrs)

 

       __ Early childhood (1 yr-5 yrs)             __ Sr. Adult (55 yrs-64 yrs)

   

       __Late childhood (6 yrs-12 yrs)  __Geriatric (65 yrs & above)

 

       __Adolescence (13 yrs-17 yrs)  _X_All ages (birth & above)

 

       _  No direct clinical contact with patients

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

 

1. Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare.

3. Promotes personal and patient safety.

 

4. Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.

 

5. Accurately administers appropriate evaluation tools based on diagnoses and age of each patient served.

 

6. Develops a treatment plan for each patient that reflects results of the evaluation and makes recommendations for treatment.

 

7. Provided quality treatment that is reflective of the stated goals in the treatment plan.

 

8. Keeps medical records up to date, complete and in accordance with department and hospital guidelines for patients served.

 

9. Meets productivity standards of the department.

 

10. Is accurate and timely in charging for therapy services provided per department process.

 

11. Participates in department and interdepartmental efforts to improve process and clinical treatment.

 

12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
