GENERAL SUMMARY

Interested in joining an amazing OB/GYN practice in Traverse City, Michigan?  We are seeking a dynamic and passionate physician to join our practice and enhance health care for women in Traverse City and the surrounding area.  Our practice offers 1:1 MA’s, a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, and an outstanding support team.

Our Northwood team provides care to women of all ages and is supported by a 24/7 in-house OB hospitalist for high-risk patients as well as an outstanding inpatient nursing team.  Maternal Fetal Medicine support is provided by the University of Michigan and includes 24/7 consultation.  Munson Medical Center also hosts a level 3 Neonatal ICU with on-site NNP’s and Neonatologists. Opportunity to work and teach with an FMOB GME program.

  1. Assists in policy and procedure development for Northwood OB/GYN operations and clinical interventions.

 

  1. Maintains visibility within the community as a health care provider. Serves as a role model to clinic staff, faculty, and the community at large.

 

  1. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

  • MD or DO
  • Successful completion of an approved U.S. Residency training program approved by the Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) of the American Medical Association, or the American Osteopathic Association or its equivalent.

Certification, Licensure, Registration:

  • Board eligible/certified for Obstetrics and Gynecology practice in the State of Michigan
  • NRP, BLS, EFM certified

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must apply for and be granted applicable clinical privileges through MHC’s credentialing processes before rendering services.
  • Good judgment and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to make quality, independent medical decisions.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
