GENERAL SUMMARY

Join a family practice in Indian River, Michigan that is in need of a Same Day Clinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.  The Same Day clinic is responsible for seeing any acute type visits for patients.  This will be in addition to other types of office visits.  The Same Day clinic provider will have a 1:1 MA.  The clinic has a Phlebotomy staff that draw patients Mon- Thursday 8am-5pm, hours will be changing to Monday- Friday 8am-4pm starting in December.

The Same Day Clinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will deliver high quality care to patients of all ages.  Looking for a provider that will work 4-5 days per week with one Saturday a month.

• 7.      As a health care provider, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works in conjunction with their physicians in providing a full spectrum of primary care services to their assigned patients.  The primary responsibility of the nurse practitioner or physician assistant is to promote and maintain health in all age populations; and to prevent disease and illness exacerbation.

• 8.      Assists in policy and procedure development for OMH Medical Group: Indian River operations and clinical interventions.

• 9.      Maintains visibility within the community as a primary health care provider.  Serves as a role model to clinic staff, faculty, and the community at large.

• 10.  Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Training: 

• Master's Degree in Nursing OR a Masters in Physician Assistant studies

Work Experience:

·       New grads welcome to apply!

Certification, Licensure, Registration:

• State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required

·    BCLS Certified

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

·       Candidate must apply for and be granted applicable clinical privileges through MHC’s credentialing processes before rendering services

·       Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
