Seeking an experienced NP or PA to join our Behavioral Health team in our Partial Hospital Program.  This position also includes some outpatient work at our Behavioral Health Clinic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

4. Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
5. Works as a member of the clinical team to promote, support and provide behavioral health care to patients. 
6. Adheres to TJC and other regulatory agency requirements for documentation, patient care, competency and environment of care issues.
7. Observes the Munson Healthcare mid-level provider prescriptive authority guidelines.
8. Maintains knowledge of current medical/behavioral health trends and ongoing professional development in pertinent fields.
9. Participates in and / or serves as a resource for medical, nursing, and community education programs.
10. Works within stated parameters of credentialing related to psychiatry. 
11. Serves as a resource for behavioral health staff and recognizes the importance of working as a team.
12. Serve as primary psychiatric provider for the partial hospital program providing psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and treatment planning. The program serves a maximum of 10 patients. Patients are seen for an initial evaluation with intermittent follow-up visits.
13. Assist PHP team in formulating behavioral health treatment and discharge plans, including coordination of care with therapists and case managers.
14. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Training: 

• Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant degree

Work Experience:

·       Minimum of 3+ years experience in Behavioral Health

Certification, Licensure, Registration:

• State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license required
• BCLS Certified
• For Nurse Practitioners: Psychiatric Mental Health certification (PMHNP)
• For Physician Assistants: Psychiatric practice certification

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

·       Candidate must apply for and be granted applicable clinical privileges through MHC’s credentialing processes before rendering services

·       Good judgment and problem solving skills.

·       Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

·       Ability to make quality, independent medical decisions.

·       Time management and organizational skills.
