What’s Required

Must have one of the following (required):
  • Associate’s degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 2 years’ relevant experience (IS/Business or healthcare)
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis)
    • 4 years in healthcare or IS/Business experience
    • Experience in Information Systems is beneficial
  • Experience in healthcare is beneficial
  • Technical knowledge to include
    • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues
    • Experience with network switches, wireless, and routing 
    • Strong aptitude for problem solving and advanced troubleshooting techniques 
    • Basic knowledge of network performance and troubleshooting techniques 
    • General understanding of security issues and implications to network solutions
    • General understanding of wireless functionality 

Specific Duties

  • Design and deploy managed LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, UPSs, and other hardware.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed. 
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. 
  • General network operations of the department including process improvement, and some planning.  
  • Perform tasks independently.
