The Financial Counselor performs quality assurance for in-house and post discharged accounts by assisting the uninsured and underinsured patients, or the responsible party, in establishing a financial resource for their healthcare needs. Financial Counselors assist patients in applying for governmental and/or state programs. They are also responsible in assisting individuals with pre-service cost estimates, support in resolving insurance issues, and continuously monitoring various worklists for appropriate follow-up.

What’s Required: 
  • Associates Degree or 2 years forma education or equivalent experience required.
  • Two years experience in customer service, healthcare, or business related field.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills and the ability to converse well on the telephone and in face-to-face situations is required. Applicant must be warm, friendly and sensitive to the feelings and concerns of others.
