What you will do as a Sleep Technologist:
As a clinical professional, you will conduct patient sleep studies in one of our accredited sleep labs. These sleep studies will be used to diagnose and treat sleep disorders by monitoring brain activity, breathing patterns, heart rate, and muscle movements while patients sleep. Successfully prepare and explain testing protocols to the patient and their families. You will set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot sleep monitoring and other healthcare equipment required for testing. Be able to recognize and observe clinical and physiological events and have the skill to alter both patient and equipment in the event changes are needed to obtain high quality patient data.

What’s Required:
- High school graduate or GED.
- BRPT - Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
- NBRC - Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care with some sleep experience preferred.
- ABRET - Registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists with some sleep experience preferred.
- All are required to achieve BRPT registered status (RPSGT) within the first 18 months of employment.
