Description
SUMMARY
The role is responsible for demonstrating competence in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, sterile storage, and case cart assembly.
Reports to the CPD Manager or designee.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Consistently demonstrates all requirements of CPD Tech II
- Maintain certification as a Technician in Sterile Processing from either CBSPD or HSPA
- Holds an additional certification from one of the accrediting bodies in one of the following: scope processing, CST, instrument certification
- Minimum three (3) years of related experience
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare.
- Monitors the quality and quantity of workflow to ensure work is completed. Champion for process improvement initiatives.
- Able to work independently doing special projects and a super user and designated trainer/preceptor on multiple pieces of CPD equipment and/or applications such as instrument tracking software.
- In the absence of a team leader and/or supervisor, may be responsible for functioning in a lead role.
- Embraces, communicates, and participates in ensuring departmental compliance with AAMI standards and The Joint Commission readiness.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
