In this essential role, you’ll provide direct care and emotional support to patients in a therapeutic behavioral health setting. Similar to a nursing assistant, you’ll help ensure a safe, comforting environment where patients feel supported and respected.
Provides direct care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort in the behavioral health therapeutic environment. Builds healthy, supportive patient relationships and practices effective interpersonal skills at all times. Completes clinical reports and documentation in a professional and timely manner.
- High school diploma or GED required
Associate’s degree or two years of college preferred - Nurse Aide experience with preference for experience as a Mental Health Technician on an inpatient psychiatric unit or previous psychiatric unit
- Possess or obtain CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire
