Job Description
Your Leadership in Action
The Manager, IS Technical Services, provides leadership and strategic direction for Munson Healthcare’s network infrastructure and telecommunications services. This role oversees teams responsible for designing, operating, and supporting enterprise networks, wireless connectivity, wide‑area communications, and telecom platforms that power clinical and business operations in a 24×7 healthcare environment.
- Provide leadership for Network Infrastructure and Telecommunications teams, collaborating closely with IT leadership, Cybersecurity, clinical partners, Facilities, and external service providers.
- Oversee enterprise network and telecom services—including LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls, and voice platforms—ensuring reliability, performance, and high availability for clinical and business systems.
- Direct daily operations such as incident, problem, and change management, while maintaining standards, documentation, lifecycle plans, and vendor/service‑provider relationships.
- Partner with Cybersecurity to align infrastructure with security, audit, and regulatory requirements, including SOX controls.
- Lead and develop technical staff and support infrastructure initiatives tied to new facilities, expansions, and modernization efforts.
Qualifications
What’s Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Healthcare, or a related field and at least 10 years of experience in enterprise network and telecommunications support.
- In lieu of a degree, 14 years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise network and telecommunications support is required.
- 5+ years of direct management experience leading network and telecommunications teams.
- Experience supporting mission critical, high availability environments, preferably in healthcare or other regulated industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare IT experience.
- Experience with Avaya telecommunications systems, Cisco networking (routing, switching, wireless, firewalls), and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Relevant network or telecommunications certifications.
