Cardio Device Technician - Heart and Vascular

Location: 1200 Sixth Streer, Suite 200, Traverse City, MI

Will require some travel to outreach locations - Will consider applicants for Petoskey area to work out of the Petosky device office.  May travel to Gaylord Indian River and Charlevoix.  Some remote work as well.

Schedule: Monday - Friday - Day Shift - Hybrid

A Day in the Life 

• Function as a subject matter expert and champion of patient care, under the supervision of our electrophysiologists, for our cardiac device patients by providing thorough pacemaker, AICD interrogation and reprogramming.

• Prepares patient for and assists with examinations.

• Makes changes to the settings of the device per physician direction.

• Recognizes abnormalities, malfunctions and End of Service indicators; notifies cardiologist and assists in scheduling patients for follow up or replacement as indicated.

What’s Required   

• Cardiac Device Specialist Certification required within 5 years of hire.

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiac telemetry, electrocardiogram tech, monitor tech or device monitoring

• Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac services required; 1 year of cardiac device experience preferred.
