Job Description
A Day in the Life
As a Travel Medical Lab Scientist, you’ll accurately and efficiently perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing while supporting high-quality patient care across Munson Healthcare facilities. Travelers must be comfortable rotating through all core laboratory departments and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, assess and correlate test results, and ensure compliance with departmental procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
What’s Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Lab Scientist in a hospital or acute care setting
- Ability to rotate through all laboratory departments (Core Lab, Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology, etc.)
- Active or eligible ASCP certification or equivalent
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or CLS(ASCP)
- Must maintain national certification throughout the assignment
