Job Description
A Day in the Life
An Enterprise Architect at Munson Healthcare works under limited direction from the IS Director. The Enterprise Architect (EA) will contribute leadership to complex projects and ensure the success of enterprise-level application rollouts. The EA determines and develops architectural approaches, conducts business reviews, documents current systems, and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications. The EA coordinates project design and implementation activities across solutions and venues of care, including, but not limited to, developing and maintaining a domain strategy, organizing and delivering testing events, assisting with change management, and coordinating the delivery and installation of Cerner Millennium code and solutions. The EA is engaged throughout the software development and project management lifecycle, working in collaboration with Project Management Office and multiple IT and informatics teams in delivering solutions that leverage technologies to solve business problems. This level is staffed by individuals with either the experience or the educational background to qualify them to perform tasks independently and carry out the general direction of the department’s goals set forth by IT leadership.
May contribute in the planning of overall organizational IT strategy and tactical implementation.
Qualifications
What’s Required
- Bachelors degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 10+ years relevant experience (healthcare IS) OR
- Associates degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 12+ years relevant experience (healthcare IS) OR
- High school diploma or GED and 15+ years relevant experience (healthcare IS)
- Healthcare experience required
